![]() ![]() Here he is reimagined as an evil butcher. Finally my beloved Birdie gets a new costume. With Halloween looming over the horizon, the new costumes have a spooky theme. Meanwhile, there are a load more costumes out today. It's already released Temple Hideout, Flamenco Tavern, Air Force base, High Roller Casino and Suzaku Castle, which are all remakes of Street Fighter 2 stages. This isn't the first time Capcom's remade a Street Fighter 2 stage for Street Fighter 5. The image below shows off how the stage looks in Street Fighter 5. Here's how the stage looks in Super Street Fighter 2. Given that the character is clearly emerging as an immensely powerful top contender in SF5's new meta, Capcom should probably hit her with a few small nerfs that don't change how she functions as a character (that ship has sailed at this point) but that lessen the currently overly plentiful rewards she gets for using routine tactics.Remember Cammy's stage from Super Street Fighter 2? It's coming back as a DLC stage for Street Fighter 5.Ĭapcom announced the new stage, called English Manor, is out today priced $3.99/€3.99 in real money or 70,000 in Fight Money. This kind of thing seems to happen for Cammy too frequently as her dial-in offensive strings and mobility options are not only strong in and of themselves, but often garner little bonuses like what we saw above. ![]() How many characters on SF5's roster could even have a chance of getting something like this to happen and play out in their favor? The knowledgeable professional using Cammy in the clip posted this with a message that directly insinuates that it shouldn't be playing out this way. but is the kind of game people want to be playing?Ĭammy was caught dead to rights in a scenario where she made a bad jump call, her opponent cooked all of their resources to ensure the KO, and a single dive kick (that likely was going to happen regardless of what Gill did) was enough to wipe all of that away. Gill's invincibility wore out thanks to the dive kick delay, and the angle was just so that a trade happened. Technically speaking, this sequence can be explained. The issue isn't sufficiently addressed by simply saying "the dive kick she was using to try to start offense with shouldn't also trade with Gill's reaction Critical Art to it." This character needs to be stopped /KuR2mYoiZm- NVD Phenom May 3, 2021 He then took to Twitter to post the clip along with the caption "This character needs to be stopped." You can see it for yourself right here. Phenom proceeds to cage his now meter-less foe in the corner and eventually finish them off with an anti-air into Critical Art finale. Phenom alters his jump timing and trajectory slightly by going into a mid-air divekick, which actually ends up trading with the CA and cancelling the Seraphic Wing animation sequence where all the damage takes place. Given that Gill has a 1-8 frame invincible Critical Art that works exceptionally well as an anti-air, one would think the player's choice to go for CA here would make for a textbook win. Phenom decided to jump forward at his foe, who reacted with a V-Trigger activation that gave them all the time in the world to see what was going on and choose how to field the incoming airborne Cammy. In the third and final round of their match, both competitors found themselves with waning life bars with the Gill user fully stocked on both V-Gauge and Critical Art. The 24 year old Norwegian Warlord-ranked pro was using Cammy during a recent online session when he found himself matched up against a Gill player. ![]()
